Richard Simms
"The outdoors, it's not a place but a state of mind."
Richard has a degree in Wildlife & Fisheries Management and spent
several years with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency as a wildlife
officer, better known as a game warden. His interest in journalism led
to a job as a photographer and public relations officer for TWRA out of
Nashville headquarters. Along came children and the desire to "go home"
to family and friends led to a second career as a professional broadcast
journalist for the Chattanooga ABC affiliate.
But the love for spreading the message of conservation never left. Since
1984 he has have worked "on the side" as an outdoor writer, providing
outdoor material for local newspapers, as a correspondent for the
Tennessee Wild Side TV program, and providing material for a variety of
other outdoor publications, including WTO.
Now his interests have led to a new endeavor -- the creation of Choo
Choo Fishing Charters, Inc. Check it out and perhaps Richard can
introduce you to the great fishing on the doorstep of the Tennessee
Aquarium.
If you could also include the Choo Choo Fishing Links in your "Links"
section, it would be appreciated.
